Today it was a very challenging day for the whole group this is because most of us participated in activities that we never thought we would be able to do.
We started by breakfast and then we went to the General Meeting were everyone spoke about their ideas and expressed their thoughts in order to improve our camp. After the General Meeting we started our activities. The activities were Archery, Pirates Gold Rescue and Paintball. Since we were 3 groups we were doing the activities in different times.
Archery helped us a lot for concentration and to aim better. Paintball was very challenging because it was different from the other games. In the afternoon we were faced with the most difficult challenge so far in this camp, this was the High Ropes. This was very terrifying and difficult because one needs a lot of strength in the arms and a lot of confidence and courage. By completing this challenge or even trying to complete it, it shows us that we can overcome any fear in life even tough at first it will be scary and difficult. On the whole most of the group did very well in this challenge and they enjoyed themselves a lot. After the high ropes we had another challenge known as turf game. This activity involved a lot of communication this is because the participants were blindfolded whilst the others had to give directions in other words rather than “right, left, front and behind”.
Overall today was very busy and fun. We learned more how to work in a group and how to communicate with others of different nationalities who speak other languages.
