Graffiti is the name for images or lettering scratched, scrawled, or more usually spray-painted on property that does not belong to the artist, and which is often regarded by others as unsightly damage or unwanted vandalism.
It is very popular in many European countries so the animators of our summer camp decided to let a small group try this kind of art. “The first expressions were really good and interesting”, said Dominique, the animator of the French group. “I was always interested in this modern art and spraying pictures with the tins.” The opportunity by the other group members were quite similar, they were interested in, what they’ve been told by the “professional” Graffiti sprayer.
“I am not a professional teacher, but I think I can give them a good start because of my nine years experience” told us the 26 years old Miguel Januário.
Normally he is working as a graphic designer, but his as he has seen the sprayers painting their arts the graffiti began to be his passion.
All in all the boys and girls were enjoying their project and had a good time.
