Some clues will be given to all the groups, supervised by the monitors and the experts when necessary, especially when artistic areas are concerned. Youngsters will choose the music and write the lyrics having as a starting point: &#8220;I&#8217;m free. I&#8217;m a citizen. I&#8217;m European.&#8221;. They will also prepare a performance &#8211; dance &#8211; to present on the presentation day of the project.<\/p>\n<p>Each team thinks and brings the song they think the best ones to perform. Only instrumental&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>This way the participants will think about and alert their colleagues to this issue. The song, whose lyrics will be in the site of the encounter, will be forever associated to the IYSC.<\/p>\n<p>The lyrics can be written in several languages, and if they want they can use their own language + English.<\/p>\n<p>In order to help the dance performance an expert will be invited.<\/p>\n<p>2-Another group must prepare a graffiti conveying the message &#8220;Graffiting is not ruining&#8221;; in fact it can be an effective instrument to pass a message. A panel will be created and will take part in the final exhibition and it will be the present to be offered to the Mayor of the city that organises the event. Once more the theme will be &#8220;I&#8217;m Free, I&#8217;m a Citizen, I&#8217;m European.&#8221;. In order to help conceive the panel an expert in graffiti can be invited.<\/p>\n<p>3- Theatre \/ performing arts. Using the theme mentioned above and helped by the staff, a third group will develop a performance\/ representation (street theatre or juggling).<\/p>\n<p>The result will be performed on the presentation day. We will try to involve a local group in the performing, which can be presented in a public space of the twon they&#8217;ll be in.<\/p>\n<p>4- Photographs + text. Since day one there will be a group responsible for text and reportage. They will have to update daily the news of the encounter. This way, not only the family can have news on their relatives but it will also be possible to show the world the work of these youngsters through internet. It will work also as a mean of communication to everybody. At the end of the IYSC 07 we will have a collection of small reportages, interviews and photographs of the several steps of the exchange. Small pieces of news on the work of the other groups shall be done.<\/p>\n<p>The youngsters are asked to bring their photo cameras if possible and the respective cable connections to computers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This way we&#8217;ll be sensitizing the participants to:<\/p>\n<p>a)The issue of European citizenship using their own interests, such as the kind of music they most appreciate, like the urban dance hip-hop, and graffiti &#8211; often ways used by young people to convey their messages on life and the world;<\/p>\n<p>b) think over their differences and \u00a0 lead them to understand how to become active citizens within the same continent, in spite of being itself constituted by several countries with different cultures.
